About Women

Daniela feels drawn towards the celebration of femininity and sensuality of women in photographs and movies of the fifties and sixties; the highly choreographed compositions, the fashion, the elegance. Many paintings have been inspired by images of Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly. Daniela starts a piece inspired by a hand gesture, or the angle of a hat placed on a head, or a body posture. She completes a painting by adding her own lines from imagination, to make the composition work, or communicate specific ideas or feelings.
